Chickasha Small Business Start-up Program

Apply to the Chickasha Economic Development Council (CEDC) to be considered for this program. Applicants may be from any community, but must start a business with a storefront within the city limits of Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Award is subject to approval of the Chickasha Industrial Authority. Contact Director Jim Cowan if you have questions.

Incentives and Assistance

The Start-up Program’s benefits include:

  • First three months’ lease or mortgage payments OR first three months’ utility payments (cannot be combined).
    • Utilities are defined as Electric, Gas, Water, Sewer, Trash, Internet, Business Phone.
    • Not to exceed $5,000.
  • Half price first year basic Chamber of Commerce membership.
  • First three months’ Business counseling with Chickasha EDC.

  1. After submitting application you will be contacted by phone or email. We may schedule an in-person meeting.
  2. Your application will be reviewed by the EDC Executive Board.
  3. Should your application proceed, it will be submitted for approval by the EDC Board of Directors which meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
  4. You will then be contacted. If your application was approved you will need to then provide a Certificate of Occupancy, a copy of your sales tax certificate, a copy of your lease and W9 from your landlord (or utility bills) for payment to commence. Payment will be paid directly to the landlord or utility companies. Checks from the EDC are cut on the 14th and the last day of the month.
  5. This grant cannot be combined with any other EDC, CIA or City of Chickasha grant.
