EDC approves Business Expansion Grant payment to Genisco Filter

At the regular board meeting June 14th, the Chickasha Economic Development Council Board approved a $20,000 Business Expansion Grant payment to Genisco Filter Corp.

In September 2021, Chickasha manufacturer HSI Sensing completed a new 25,000 sq. ft. facility as the new home of its subsidiary Genisco Filter. The new facility includes both warehouse and office space. The expansion, an investment of over $2 million, led to the creation of 16 new jobs and 2 additional openings.

Genisco Filter, previously based in Madison, Wisconsin, specializes in the design and manufacturing of EMI/RFI filters. The new space has enabled them to take on bigger projects and meet customer demands.

CEDC’s Business Expansion Grant is available to companies that have operated in Chickasha for 5 years, are making a capital investment of at least $500,000, and adding at least 10 jobs. The grant payment is equal to 2% of the first $500,000 in investment and 1% of all investment beyond $500,000, up to a max award of $20,000.
